A man has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a woman, 28, died in a Tui shop in Southport, Merseyside.
Officers were called to the Chapel Street branch of the travel agent at 1.25pm on Saturday following reports of an injured woman.
The woman was taken to hospital where she died from her injuries, Merseyside Police confirmed, adding that her next of kin had been informed.
A 30-year-old man from St Helens is in custody.
Police said the incident was domestic-related.
TUI has confirmed the woman was a worker at the store where the alleged attack took place.
"We regret to confirm that a female member of staff has been involved in an incident at our Southport TUI retail store today," a statement from the travel agency said.
"We're doing everything possible to assist the local police with their investigation and support our staff and customers at this difficult time.
"We will issue further statements as soon as information becomes available."
A police forensics team was seen taking evidence from the store.

A total of 10 police vehicles and two air ambulances attended.
