A man had his £42,500 Porsche seized just ten minutes after he bought it. Ouch.

Yes, the 37-year-old from Yallambe in Victoria, Australia, had the pricey vehicle taken away from him after he was allegedly spotted driving at double the speed limit while on his phone.

The man – who has not been named – will now not see his new purchase for at least 30 days.

The car was seized this morning after Prahran Highway Patrol officers allegedly saw the driver on his phone at around 9.55am.

He was driving along Melbourne’s Grand Prix Circuit.

According to MailOnline, he is expected to be charged with speeding and using a mobile phone while driving.

He told officers that he had only just bought the car.

Under the Road Safety Act 1986, the Road Safety (Drivers) Regulations 2009, and the Road Safety Road Rules 2009, the use of mobile phones while driving in Victoria is against the law.
