This is not a drill, a whole craft beer hotel is to open this summer.
We’re not sure if BrewDog is just trying to make amends for their marketing disaster with ‘beer for girls’ (yawn) but they’re the brains behind it.
The Scottish brewery was slammed after releasing a pink version of their popular Punk IPA, very originally called Pink IPA, ahead of International Women’s Day.
On a much more positive note, they’ve now come up with the ‘world’s first crowdfunded craft beer hotel,’ which is to open in Columbus, Ohio this summer.
And, yes, there will be a tap in every overnight room.
The DogHouse will provide a state-of-the-art experience, complete with a spa that boasts beer-based treatments and an in-shower beer fridge so guests can sip whilst they shower.
If you’re feeling fancy and staying in the luxury suite, you’ll also get to enjoy a hot tub filled with the brewer’s famous Punk IPA (is that even hygienic?).
The DogHouse will also serve deluxe three-course breakfasts, lunches and dinners, all infused and paired with artisanal craft beers, ensuring the beer experience lasts from dusk until dawn.
A beer-centric hotel doesn’t come cheap though, so the brewer is fast-tracking the project through a crowdfunding program on Indiegogo, aiming to raise £540,000 ($75,000) in 30 days.
Patrons of the crowdfund will reap its benefits too, being invited to trial the latest drinks, stay for free, and see behind the scenes.
After BrewDog launched its first U.S. brewery last year in Columbus, Ohio, it is said the American city is to be the site of the soon-to-be-opened hotel.
The actual opening date hasn’t yet been announced, but the company said it will be this summer.
Rest assured though, you don’t have to fork out the cash for a flight to America, a similar hotel is set to open in Scotland.
