Central Londons The Distillery is hosting the event of the season – a Royal Wedding-themed gin drinking and fine dining experience.
The grand four-floor venue – which is known for its cocktail-fuelled culinary evenings inspired by the likes of James Bond and British history – has announced a new themed evening to its line-up.
Launching on the weekend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markles royal wedding, the By Royal Appointment dining experience takes guests on a journey through the lavish gastronomic lifestyles of Britains most famous family throughout the centuries.

Each dinner is hosted by a raconteur who will guide guests on a multi-sensory journey that is brought to life by food and drink, regaling fascinating anecdotes and stories between courses. Guests will enjoy a five course feast of food and cocktails themed around the royal family. Wow!

So wheres the gin? The narratives and drink menus for each event have been curated by Jake F Burger, a renowned gin historian, master distiller at Portobello Road Gin and co-creator of The Ginstitute.
Of course, the royal family are well-known for their love of food and drink. The Queen is said to be partial to a gin & Dubonnet before lunch, as was The Queen Mother before her, while Princess Margaret famously enjoyed a glass of The Famous Grouse.
While both the food and drink menus are closely guarded secrets, were told guests can expect a innovative, rule-breaking and theatrical menu created by The Distillerys Executive Chef, Greg Lewis.
Were sure it will be decadent too, since stories are rife around previous kings and queens and their luxurious feasts.

The By Royal Appointment dining experience takes place in The Distillerys Boardroom, which is nestled away on the top floor of the building – seating no more than 20 guests per session. Tickets are priced at £90 per person and include five courses of food and drink with a vegetarian menu also available.
