Verified left-wing Twitter users praised MSNBC’s Joy Reid after she apologized for posting homophobic remarks between 2007 and 2009.
In one post, Joan Walsh, an MSNBC political analyst and author of What’s the Matter With White People? called those who criticized Reid’s homophobia “trolls,” while “TV Personality” Scott Nevins claimed Reid’s homophobic insults towards Charlie Crist are justified “until he finally comes out.”
All the trolls coming for @JoyAnnReid, please know that the people you have Identified that she, as she admitted, did not treat well, have forgiven her. Why don't you go home to your families and friends and do something meaningful?

Dear @JoyAnnReid – I am a gay man and I am telling you that you have NOTHING to apologize for. I call him worse than “missy”. We love you and know what a champion you are for LGBTQ & minority rights. Keep up the good fight xo

Nope. No apology needed. Until he finally comes out, (jut like @VP needs to), we can call those hypocrites anything we want.

“Time to move on, people,” declared Nayyera Haq, a former “senior member of the administration of President Barack Obama,” who added she was “impressed” with Reid following the incident.
Impressed w @JoyAnnReid handling news and issues today. You know who else is? Charlie Crist. Time to move on, people.

In a series of posts, Huffington Post contributor Marcus H. Johnson even claimed it was racist to criticize Reid’s homophobia.
”She is one of the best there is on the left,” he also expressed.
Bernie stans are always coming for Black people, trying to get them fired or push them out. We see the agenda they think they can shut Black people up. Nope. I stand with Joy Reid https://t.co/USZyqGYaSw

Joy Reid, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker, DeRay…something similar about the people Bernie Bros attack but I just can't put my finger on it
