Three men who bailed from a taxi without paying thought they had the last laugh – but they accidentally made the cab driver’s day.
That’s because the thieves managed to drop £120 in cash as they ran off, and the money has now been handed over to the cabbie.

Greater Manchester Police released details of the incident as well as a photo of the grinning driver, known only as Mr Hameed.
Luckily for the driver, the getaway was witnessed by an off duty police constable from South Wales.
PC Evans picked up the cash and called the police – and within hours, the money was given to the victim.
The men also threw stones at the car in Shudehill, Manchester, damaging a window, officers said.
Writing on Facebook, police said: ‘It’s rare that we can get a result for taxi drivers in these circumstances, and if we do, it usually takes time or gets bogged down in policy and procedure.

‘We thought it would be nice to offer up some swift poetic justice, and £120 sounded about right for the fare and damage.
‘If it was your £120 and you think we’ve been unfair, please get in touch. We may get in touch anyway.’
