Hi there! You are listening to ETMarkets Evening Podcast

This is Abhinav Kaul and I will take you through the motions of today's session on Dalal Street and bring you cues and trading tips from market veterans for the upcoming trading sessions.

Bulls on Wednesday got indecisive at the 10,500 level, as the index settled flat for a second successive session. The 50-share index added just 1 point to settle at 10,443.

However, BSE Sensex closed 18.88 points down at 33,793.

More than 25 stocks in the Nifty closed in green with Adani Ports gaining 3 per cent, followed by Larsen & Toubro, Hindalco, ICICI Bank and Ambuja Cements.

On the other hand, Dr Reddy's Labs, Wipro, Bajaj Auto, ONGC and Maruti Suzuki dipped between 1.35 per cent and 3 per cent.

Dr Reddy's Labs slipped amid reports that an establishment inspection report (EIR) has been issued to the company's Duvvada facility, citing some issues.

More than 100 stocks on the NSE scaled their fresh 52-week high on Wednesday.

We have with us Sanjeev Jain of Ashika Stock Broking to share his views on equity markets.
