The countdown to the most romantic day of the year is already on.
And this Valentine’s all eyes will be on royal couple of the moment, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, as they prepare to celebrate this day of all things love together as an engaged couple for the first time.
With every day that goes by Harry and Meghan’s fairytale romance seems to go from strength to strength, and royal fans will no doubt be expecting the ultimate heart-warming display of affection between the pair come February 14th.
Prince Harry popped the question to his Canadian actress beau over a dinner of roast chicken at their Kensington Palace apartment, and Valentine’s Day celebrations could be a similarly low-key affair.
The couple are rumoured to have chosen The Chapel Down winery in Tenterden, Kent, as their tipple-maker of choice for their private wedding day reception on May 19th, so they could be toasting the success of their love story with a £24 a bottle of its classic sparkling Brut in hand.
In a post on her former lifestyle blog The Tig – written in 2016 – Meghan revealed the importance of ‘being your own Valentine’, and how to celebrate ourselves on this special day.

‘I think you need to cook that beautiful dinner even when it’s just you, wear your favourite outfit, buy yourself some flowers, and celebrate the self love that often gets muddled when we focus on what we don’t have,’ Meghan shared.
We’re positive Meghan can translate this nurturing night for one into a romantic vision for two with a little help from Harry.
And when it comes to the kind of gifts the royal couple could be lavishing on each other, Meghan revealed in previous interview with The Express that she’s a big fan of fragrance.

Speaking to the publication, Meghan said, “Fragrance is my favourite thing, so much so that if I leave the house and I don’t put any on, I’ll turn around and go back home.
“I alternate between a few scents. I love Oribe Côte d’Azur Eau de Parfum and both the Wild Bluebell and Wood Sage & Sea Salt Colognes by Jo Malone”.
We also know the Meghan’s favourite things extend from high end to high street, after she caused a fashion frenzy by wearing a £45 Wool Blend Round Neck Bell Sleeve Jumper from M&S to a recent official visit with her fiancé to Reprezent radio in Brixton.

As for Harry, Meghan may take a few tips from her own 2015 Valentine’s Gift Guide – published on The Tig – which made the following suggestions for the man in your life:
- A customisable throw pillow
- Argyle socks
- Fancy headphones
- A poker chip set and even a beer-making kit

And if Harry and Meghan do decide to spend a romantic evening away together, they may opt for the cosy environs of Soho Farmhouse – a exclusive hotel and a members’ club in the Oxfordshire countryside that Harry and Meghan are rumoured to have visited twice last year.
Whichever option the royal couple go for, we know they’re only going to have eyes for each other.
