A 999-crew returned from giving life-saving treatment to find their ambulance trashed and belongings stolen.
The heartless thugs struck as the emergency workers were tending to a patient during a midnight call-out in Leeds, West Yorkshire.

The paramedics could not believe their eyes when they returned from the home in St Luke’s Green, Beeston, to find the 999 vehicle wrecked.
The thugs had smashed a window, ripped out the centre console of the vehicle and made off with the crew’s personal possessions.
Ambulance service Divisional Commander John McSorley said: ‘I am saddened and disappointed by this act of vandalism.

‘The vehicle had to be made unavailable to respond to life-threatening emergencies whilst the repairs were carried out.
‘Our dedicated staff work extremely hard to deliver the best service possible and for them to have their personal belongings stolen is appalling.’
West Yorkshire Police has appealed for witnesses of the break-in, thought to have happened between 1am and 1.30am on January 28.
