Nothing says it quite like gifs.

In the age of not seeing each other face to face, it’s good to have a reaction – even if it’s from someone else – to show how you really feel.

They certainly jazz up a group chat, so find out how to give good gif on Whatsapp here.

This could be you if you’re successful:

Using camera roll

  • Click the + button
  • Select Photo & Video Library and your camera roll should appear
  • A small magnifying glass should show in the bottom-left corner with the word ‘GIF’
  • Select this and rows of gifs will show
  • You can then either browse or search for whatever gif you wish

Using another app

Giphy’s gif keyboard app is another choice you can go for, that you can use on any supported platform, like Facebook Messenger or Twitter.

Go to the App Store or Google Play Store, and search ‘gif keyboard’.

Once it’s downloaded, just change the keyboard with the icon you’d normally use to open the emoji keyboard.

Once you’re in the gif keyboard, you can search for whatever gif takes your fancy.

Alternatively, you could always try saving gifs from the likes of Google images.

However, even if you can see the images moving when you save them, sometimes the default for your device is to save them as still.

Using the two methods above, though, means you’ll never be short of a sassy comeback again.
