Man stabbed lover after changing his mind about having gay sex
The 61-year-old man was violently thrown across the street after being hit by the car, which then drove off, on St Peter’s Road in Leicester at 6.30pm on Friday.
But miraculously the man escaped from the collision and was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
CCTV captured the moment the man glances right before steeping onto the road at the zebra crossing, with no cars in sight from the camera’s viewpoint.
As he starts crossing, a silver car emerges from nowhere at speed, smashes into him and flings the pensioner to the floor.
After seemingly slowing down, the driver then zooms away from the scene, leaving the man in the middle of the road.
Witnesses and motorists then rush to the man’s aid.

He was taken to Leicester Royal Infirmary where police described his condition as stable.

Sgt Jim Purdie of Leicestershire Police said: ‘This was a particularly nasty incident witnessed by a number of people.
‘The area where it happened would have been busy with vehicles and pedestrians.
‘We would like to hear from anyone who was in the area and saw the victim or the car being driven before the incident or the collision itself take place.’
