A schoolboy was arrested after posting a Snapchat photo of himself holding what appeared to be an assault rifle with the caption ‘Round 2 of Florida tomorrow.’
The 17 year-old, who has not been identified, was collared after posting the chilling threat hours after Wednesday’s massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas School in Parkland, Fl.

In the photo, he is seen wearing a dark shirt and tie, and holding an assault rifle similar to the AR-15 allegedly used by Nikolas Cruz to kill 17 people.
The post sparked panic among parents of children at Broome High School in Spartanburg, North Carolina, which the teen attends, and one reported it to cops.
Lt. Kevin Bobo, whose colleagues then attended the schoolboy’s address said: ‘After informing the suspect and his parents of the law violation, the suspect stated his Snapchat post was just intended as a joke, and that he didn’t have any serious intentions.’
Lt. Bobo told Fox Carolina that a subsequent search of the boy’s home revealed the ‘assault rifle’ was actually a pellet gun.
The teen was subsequently charged with disturbing schools and taken to a local department of juvenile justice facility.
His post also went viral in Florida, where shaken locals feared a repeat of the Valentine’s Day attack was afoot.
The incident also prompted cops to station extra security at the school, with Senior Chris Murphy commenting: ‘I saw it, but I wouldn’t really expect something like that to happen here.’
‘It kind of scared me a little.’
