The mother of Baby P has reportedly asked for a hysterectomy as she thinks it may increase her chances of getting parole.

Tracey Connelly, 35, was jailed in 2009 for her part in the death of her 17-month-old son Peter in 2007.

How do tuition fees in the UK compare to other countries?

It has now emerged that she reportedly asked for the surgery to remove her uterus in the hopes this will increase her chances of being released on parole, reports the Daily Star.

However, sources inside HMP Low Newton, where she is jailed, have said that at 29st Connelly is too fat for the operation and is dieting in order to have the surgery.

‘She is insatiable and has already had relationships with three women at Low Newton. She doesn’t trust herself not to fall pregnant again in the outside world,’ the source said.

‘She’s desperately trying to lose weight so she can have the operation. She doesn’t trust herself to not let history repeat itself. She wants that choice taken away.’

Connelly, her boyfriend Steven Barker and his brother Jason Owen were all jailed for causing or allowing the death of little Peter, who was known as Baby P.

A post mortem revealed he had sustained more than 50 injuries over an eight month period including eight broken ribs, a broken back, missing fingernails and a deep tear to his earlobe, which had been pulled away from his head.

Connelly was released in 2013 on license but was called back to prison after breaking her bail conditions by selling indecent images of herself.

A parole board refused to release her in 2015 and she was denied again in December 2017 as she was considered a danger to society.

Her next parole hearing is likely to be December 2019.
