People have been hanging off motorway bridges as part of a dangerous ‘Snapchat challenge’.
‘Officers tonight have attended several incidents of people hanging off motorway bridges,’ Inspector Jim Jones from Greater Manchester Police tweeted.
‘Those spoken to claim it’s a Snapchat challenge to post pictures leaning over bridges. How irresponsible can you get. Please help nip this in the bud and RT.’
He urged people to share the tweet, saying parents should be aware of the craze and warn their children not to take part.

Last year, another Snapchat ‘challenge’ was criticised amid claims it led to bullying.
The ‘game’ starts when someone sends the letter X to another child, that person then replies with the name of the victim.
All players must then try and come up with as many insults as possible about the victim targeting their weight, appearance and personality.
