NEW DELHI: Shares of Usha Martin (up 9.41 per cent), Schneider Electric Infrastructure (up 9.18 per cent) and Bhagyanagar Properties (up 8.40 per cent) zoomed up to 9 per cent on the NSE during Wednesday's trade, defying cautious market stance.
Stocks such as Agri-Tech (India) (up 8.06 per cent), Orient Green Power Company (up 7.76 per cent) and Fedders Electric and Engineering (up 7.23 per cent) jumped up to 8 per cent on the NSE.
Equity markets registered a positive opening but turned cautious tracking global cues.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading flat at 10,362, while the BSE Sensex was 40 points up at 33,744 around 10:45 am (IST).
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty50 index, 19 were in the green, while 31 were in the red.
Shares of Punjab National Bank, State Bank of India, Vedanta, Bank of Baroda and Hindalco were among the most traded stocks on the National Stock Exchange.
Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Tata Consultancy Services, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories and Eicher Motors were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
On the contrary, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Hindalco Industries, Bajaj Finance, Bharat Petroleum Corporation and Vedanta were among the top losers in the Nifty50 index.
