It’s another social network which invites you to post endless pictures of your wonderful life.
So why would you choose Vero over the competition?
You might think the answer lies in the super-advanced algorithms and clever engineering which went into building the new app.
But you’d be wrong.
The thing people really seem to love about the new app is that it doesn’t use any super-smart programming tricks when presenting your news feed.
Instead, it will just show you posts in chronological order – and users of another social network called Twitter are delighted with it. You can see their reactions below.
Soo, my honest opinion about Vero. I like the chronological order, it’s great for small businesses. A lot of glitches, but i understand. It’s new with potential. But i have a feeling it will die out with in a year. I don’t think it could replace Instagram.

What this means is that posts will be displayed in the order they were posted, rather than ordered using some arcane algorithm.
Instagram and Facebook both show posts they think you will like at the top of your feed, rather than organising them chronologically.
Snapchat recently introduced a similar mechanism in its controversial update whilst Twitter does the same, although its feed is closer to chronological than its competitors.
Vero doesn’t have any adverts, is in chronological order and boasts categories like links, books, movies and more.
‘The feed is composed of your posts and the posts of people you’re either connected with or people you follow. We don’t curate it, manipulate it, insert advertising in it, or hold back posts. You see what has been shared with you, when it’s been shared with you’, the company explains.
After the first million can sign up for free, those who get it after will have to pay a ‘small annual feel’.
‘As a subscription-based service, our users are our customers, not the product we sell to advertisers,’ in continued.
‘Our subscription model will allow us to keep Vero advertising-free, and to focus solely on delivering the best social experience instead of trying to find new ways to monetise our users’ behaviour or tricking them back into the app with notifications.’
Unlike Instagram, links will be available and companies can also post on Vero but will need to pay if they include a ‘buy now’ link.
Social media influencers have also been flocking to the site.
The huge demand has even caused some technical difficulties as users rush to download the app.
‘Due to very large traffic, we’re experiencing intermittent technical issues. We’re working to resolve them as soon as possible,’ it posted on Twitter.
Some are concerned about the terms and conditions which gives the Vero the right to use the content posts without paying royalties.
But it’s been pretty transparent about its service.
The network’s chronological feed means it includes everything people post which isn’t decided by an algorithm, therefore companies or people can’t pay to boost their posts, as is available on other sites.
Those who have signed up are now all waiting for the first person to post, but once it gets going, it could really take off.
So if you have a fear of missing out or just want to see what all the fuss is about, you might want to download it now.
On its Twitter, Vero says they have yet a million sign-ups.
If you don’t want to pay the annual subscription fee, sign up sharpish.
