F1 TV 2018: NEW Formula 1 live streaming service news revealed – coming to Europe and US
F1 fans have just received some very exciting news. Formula 1 has today revealed their intention to launch a new, completely bespoke OTT (over the top) streaming service for watching Formula 1 coverage which will be sold directly to consumers in two dozen markets.
The bad news? The UK is not one of those targets (yet, we hope).
The service will cost around $8-$12 a month, so along the lines with what most people currently pay for similar streaming services. Initially, it will be available in Germany, France, the US, Mexico, Belgium, Austria, Hungary and much of Latin America.
"Formula 1 fans will get commercial-free live streams of each race with multi-language commentary," explained the F1 announcement.
"In addition, the service will provide exclusive access to all 20 driver on-board cameras throughout every race session. F1 TV Pro will have unique feeds not available on any other platform with the capability of multi-level personalisation."
According to the announcement, the service will be available over desktop, web and over mobile and TV apps.
There will be two options to pick between. The main difference is that the cheaper option will not include live broadcasts.

"A single global OTT video platform, with multiple live feeds and hundreds of hours of past highlights, gives fans the power to create their own unique, immersive motorsports experiences.
"It’s a way to keep existing audiences hooked and attract new fans to the world of F1 too.”
