Linda Nolan has bravely opened up about her love life, following the news that she has incurable breast cancer.
The 59-year-old appeared on yesterday’s episode of Loose Women, to confess that she’s now open to dating again, despite suffering from a terminal illness.
She kicked off the interview confessing that despite being terrified when she recieved her initial diagnosis, she now lives live to the full because of it.
“I only really do things now that I really want to do and see the people I want to see. I don’t have to put up with any rubbish, because I don’t know how I’m going to be here.”
Linda went on to admit that 17 years after her husband’s death, she’s finally open to meeting someone again.
Linda was married to husband Brian for 26 years. And the star hasn’t dated since the death of her husband to skin cancer back in 2001.
But live on Loose Women, she admitted that she’s ready to date now.
She said, “I think I am. God help me! I’ve been so anti-dating. But I had my first kiss last year, and it was fabulous. Bless this poor guy, he’s an old friend, it was my first kiss in 10 years.
“I think it’s companionship more than anything. I had the love of my life with Brian and most people don’t get that. Some people don’t experience the love I had with Brian in their whole life time. But now it would be nice to sit and watch a movie with somebody, or go on holiday with.
“But I am open to offers.”

Linda has also shared that she’s planning a final party to “celebrate her life” – inviting all of her closest friends and family to what is sure to be an emotional event.
She said, “It would be a chance to say goodbye.”
However, she candidly confessed that despite her positive outlook, her terminal diagnosis still petrifies her.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m scared to death. I don’t want to die. And that’s why I’m living every minute I have.”
Linda also revealed that were her cancer to spread further, she wouldn’t accept chemotherapy treatment because of how it affected her sister Bernie.
“If it spreads, they offer me chemotherapy. It will prolong my life for a few weeks, a few months. But I don’t think I’m going to have that.
“Bernie was in pain for the last couple of months. And the chemo made her much sicker at times. So if I’m given that terrible news that I have six months to live, I’d rather spend three months of it having a whale of a time.”
