Passport prices are set to increase before Easter.
Application fees will see a hike of £12.50 for both adults and kids.
The changes were approved in the House of Commons, where MPs voted by 317 to 258.

Adult passports have risen from £72.50 to £85.
They will also have to pay more to renew their children’s travel documents.
Kids passports have been hiked up from £58.50 to £46 – a significant 27% increase.
This new pricing structure will be rolled out on March 27.

To avoid getting stung by the higher fees, it’s advisable to get your passport application in as soon as possible.
Online application fees are also getting pricier, but not as dramatically.
Adults will be required to pay £75.50, while a child’s fee is £49.
You can save up to £9.50 by going digital instead of renewing in person.
It’s believed that the price rise will encourage more members of public to utilise the online services available to them.
As a result of these changes, the HM Passport Office is likely to receive £50 million more revenue between 2018-19.
Some politicians have spoken out against the new policy, reports The Mirror.
Diane Abbott, Shadow Home Secretary said: “This whopping increase will hit families badly and could see some families being forced to cancel their summer holiday plans as the costs become too high.”
