A woman who lost her memory cries every day when she is told her husband divorced her after she fell ill.

Veronika Mescheryakova’s short-term memory loss means she does not remember her husband walking out on her in November last year.

Here is Wisconsin gubernatorial candidate Kelda Roys who released a political campaign video of herself breastfeeding her baby, which quickly went viral. While nourishing her infant daughter Roys, 38, describes the work she has done to ban the use of neurotoxic BPA chemicals in baby bottles and sippy cups. She has to be told every day that he will not be coming home from work.

The 29-year-old suffers from a degenerative disease called porphyria, which can leave people with severe pain, breathing problems and memory loss.

A few years ago, surgeons tried to stop the onset of the disease, but it didn’t help and her short-term memory steadily got worse.

When he does not come home at night, her mother has to tell her again about the divorce, leaving her distraught. She reportedly cries over and over again about her lost love. Her unnamed husband???s reasons for the split were not made public. Local media report that her mother is helping her re-learn how to walk and that the caring mum hopes Veronika will one day reconnect with her ex. Netizen 'Vyacheslav Petrov' said:

The disease then started to affect her limbs and she became paralysed from the waist down.

Local media did not report why her husband left her, but pictures show the moment Veronika, from Kazan, Russia, tearily reacts to learning about her lost love.

Veronika’s mother reportedly hopes that she will one day be back together with her ex-husband.

Her tragic story has created widespread sympathy and support among Russian readers.
