Liam Gallagher has responded to the shock claims that he burgled Richard Madeley and Judy Finnegan’s house when he was a teenager.
On an episode of Good Morning Britain in February, Richard claimed that, “him [Liam] and his brother [Noel] used to live quite close to us when we used to live in Manchester.
“They admitted in the early stages of their career they did a little bit of robbery, a little bit of burglary and we think they did our house.”
He revealed, “I spoke to them about it, it was many years ago and they’ve probably forgotten about it now and they said ‘Yeah I think we did that one yeah, I think we did that one, went in through the window yeah.'”
Liam, however, has strongly denied these claims in a new tweet, saying, “for the record i never robbed Richard n (sic) Judys.”
When asked what he thought of Richard and Judy, he maintained he had respect for them, and did not burgle their house.
He also responded to another outlandish claim, that he and his brother had once defecated in his neighbour Gladys’ bathtub.
In a Sunday Sport article, she alleged that in 1989, she came home to find that her house had been burgled.
In a moment she alleges she will never forget, she discovered the burglars had defecated in her bathtub, an act which she described as ‘beyond the pale’.
“Pound to a penny that was one of them that sh** in the old bath.”
Unfortunately for Liam, his estranged brother Noel might have dropped him in it.
In a recent Instagram post, Noel apologised to Gladys, ‘Soz Gladys. No offence’, while also referencing the Richard Madeley incident.
Over Christmas, Liam wished ‘NG’ (Noel Gallagher) a Merry Christmas via Twitter. There were also reports that the two enjoyed lunch together with family at the Chiltern Firehouse.
Oasis fans were ecstatic, with many expressing their wish for a reunion.
Hopefully these latest developments won’t drive a wedge between the brothers once again!
