Sky presenter Simon Thomas has thanked a stranger on social media for a kind note left for him in a cafe near his home.
The 45-year-old recently experienced a devastating loss, when his wife Gemma passed away just days after being diagnosed with blood cancer.
Since, he’s been open in speaking about his gut-wrenching loss, and how it’s affected him and their 8-year-old son, Ethan.
But now, Simon has shared a little of the lighter stages of grief, after revealing that a kind stranger had made a heartfelt gesture for him in a local cafe.
On Twitter, he wrote, “Some wonderfully kind people out there. Someone left this in @nomadrdguk today. Whoever you are – thank you. God Bless.”
Attached to the post was a picture, which was addressed to Nomad Bakery.
It read, “Please could you take this as payment next time Simon Thomas comes in with his son Ethan for a drink and a cake!
“Let him know everyone is wishing them both strength and happiness.”
What a sweet gesture.
