A mother allegedly killed her newborn baby by throwing it over a 9ft fence with the umbilical cord still attached.

Camille Wasinger-Konrad, 23, from Highlands Ranch, Colorado, allegedly told police that she didn’t even know she was pregnant when she give birth on January 2.

However, court records report she telling a colleague at a supermarket that she was expecting a child.

KDVR reports that she covered her child’s mouth to stop it from crying so her landlord’s family, who were asleep upstairs, could not hear.

Then, it’s claimed she wrapped the infant in a blanket, carried it outside, and covered its mouth for another 10 minutes.

She is then accused of launching the child over the fence, where blood trails show it bouncing off a railing and a deck chair.

The exact cause of death has not been released.

The body was discovered 15 hours later when her neighbour, Jeanette Barich, went outside to use her hot tub and noticed her dog sniffing something.

She took the baby inside and called 911, but it was too late to save the child.

When detectives arrived they found a bloody shower curtain in the neighbours rubbish bin.

And when they first spoke to Wasinger-Konrad, she told them she had no idea what they were talking about.

She eventually told them she had woken up with stomach cramps between 6 and 7am and the ‘baby just came out’.

Shockingly, in an interview recorded on police body cameras, she said she ‘just got rid of it’.

She has now been charged with first-degree murder of a victim under 12.

The case will continue on May 22.
