Paddy McGuinness wife Christine has spoken of her love for husband Paddy after a challenging few months – though admits the difficult times have affected her plans to have more children.
The couples relationship was rocked when Paddy was pictured on a night out with Nicole Appleton in February but theyve since been working at getting things back on track, despite going through what Christine calls the “toughest year of her life”.
“As a family weve had an awful lot to deal with, but you can only do your best in a relationship and like anything else it takes working at and were working things through,” says Christine, 30.
“Weve always been extremely private; weve been together 11 years and there have been ups and downs. I was 19 when we met.
“Weve been through a lot as a couple in private, but I still love Paddy.”
Christine admits that the stories about her and Paddy, 44, following the Nicole pictures have led them to focus on their relationship more.
“The recent headlines made us open our eyes,” she tells OK! magazine. “It made us realise we have to make some changes.
“We were like: We can do better than this, we can make each other a lot happier.”
However, going through some tough times both publicly and privately means that Christine seems to have changed her mind about having any more babies.
The couple are parents to four-year-old twins Leo and Penelope – who are both autistic – and 18-month-old daughter Felicity, who Christine says has also displayed some signs of autism.
When asked about expanding the family, Christine explains: “Im done – three is the magic number.
“We would have kept going, but a lot has gone on. Its been one of the toughest years of my life.”
It comes after Christine revealed during an appearance on Loose Women last month that going through a tough patch has actually become a positive thing for her marriage.
“Were happier than ever right now,” she revealed. “Its great that were putting the effort in, its lovely, its nice. Working at it is quite good, its actually exciting, you know?”
