Her life is worlds away from that of her EastEnders character Bianca Jackson, but the one thing Patsy Palmer has in common with her character is that she always puts her kids first.
And now the actress has opened up about her relaxed parenting style, particularly when it comes to her childrens education.
The mum-of-four has revealed that her middle children Fenton, 17 and Emilia, 16 are in fact home schooled so that they can focus on their modelling careers.
They dont really like school anyway, she confessed. I hated it when I was a kid, so Im never going to push them.
In what may seem like an unconventional choice, Fenton and Emilia take classes online rather than actually attending school so that they have the flexibility to attend auditions and acting classes.
Its clear that Patsys kids are totally on board with her decision to home school them with Emilia admitting that she doesnt have to go to college to have a good job.
Theyre very creative – I feel like theres a lot more they could be doing outside of school, anyway, Patsy explained in the same interview with i-D magazine.
And Patsy isnt the only celebrity to home school their children with Stacey Solomon recently revealing that shell be educating her two sons at home.
It is really difficult, you can have a structured classroom environment. For me, its not like that. I have to rely hugely on my family to be there, Stacey revealed.
Opening up about juggling work life and teaching her little ones, Stacey continued: If I am going to work I have to ask them to help me and be there, or to take them to museums so they learn in an outside environment.
I also have a tutor once a week which they study maths, English and science with. So we have a tutor once a week, and the rest of the week it is in and around the schedule.
Sounds like these ladies have got it all figured out!
