It was the dress to beat all dresses.
When the Duchess of Cambridge stepped out to announce her engagement to Prince William back in 2011, the fashion world went crazy for her royal blue Issa dress.
The flattering, silk wrap dress perfectly complimented Catherines gorgeous engagement ring – and it promptly sold out around the world.
But while Kates pick was certainly stylish, it was way out of most of our budgets.
That is however, until House of Fraser bought the brand Issa – and re-designed the dress for a far less expensive price.
House of Fraser created the Issa Darcy Pleat detail dress – which looks remarkably similar to the Duchess original design. Fashion fans went crazy for the item when it was first released, and was available for the much-reduced price of £99.
And now, the designing team have brought out two new versions of the dress – in some Spring colours that are perfect for the warmer months.
The brand has released the dress in a gorgeous new orange colour. With the same tie waist detailing and plunging necklace, its super similar to Kates original – and would be ideal for all of those upcoming summer events!

Given the lighter, more playful colour, this dress could be easily accessorised with some flattering white heels and chunky white and orange jewellery. Or, keep it simple like Kate, and add an elegant necklace and some black heels.
