NEW DELHI: Precious metals gold and silver were trading mixed in the morning deals on Tuesday.
MCX Gold futures were trading 0.04 per cent, or Rs 11 lower at Rs 31,266 per 10 grams at 11:11 am (IST), while MCX Silver futures were up 0.07 per cent, or Rs 28, at Rs 39,543 per 1 kg at the same time.
SPDR Gold Trust GLD, the world's largest gold-backed exchange-traded fund, said its holdings stood at 865.89 tonnes, remain unchanged from the previous business day.
Holdings of the largest silver-backed exchange-traded-fund (ETF), New York's iShares Silver Trust SLV, stood at 9806.87 down 79.10 tonnes, from the previous business day.
On the global front, gold prices steadied in Asian trade on Tuesday, a day after falling to the lowest level in more than two weeks, as a climb in the dollar and 10-year US Treasury yields dampened the appeal of bullion, which pays no interest.
