NO MERCHANDISING Mandatory Credit: Photo by Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock (9626337af) Kerry Katona 'This Morning' TV show, London, UK – 12 Apr 2018 KERRY KATONA: 'GOING PUBLIC ABOUT HER BIPOLAR WILL HELP MARIAH HEAL' Mariah Carey shocked fans yesterday when she revealed that she has been battling bipolar disorder for over 17 years. Speaking to America's People magazine, Mariah spoke for the first time about her diagnosis and how she has lived in constant fear that her illness would be exposed. Well one person who knows only too well what it's like to live with bipolar disorder and be in the public eye is Kerry Katona. Kerry has often made headlines because of her erratic behaviour caused by her bipolar, but still doesn’t regret sharing her illness so openly with the public. She joins us today tv±nullboundsObjc

Kerry Katona has revealed she blamed herself for past abusive relationships in a very candid interview.

The mum-of-five is currently in the process of divorcing her third husband George Kay – who she shares three-year-old daughter Dylan-George – after a turbulent three-year relationship.

Kerry originally split with her ex back in 2015 following claims he assaulted her, but the case was later dropped after Kerry withdrew her statement and they soon got back together, before splitting again in June last year.

But now the 37-year-old has admitted that she used to blame herself for the toxic romance and the situations she put herself in.

“My last husband was quite aggressive and he was quite violent towards me”, she said on the Art of Winning Show.

“Im not blaming nobody, Im not blaming my mum for the drugs, Im not blaming my husbands for the violence – I allowed myself to be in those situations.

“No one forced me to do anything I didnt want to do.

“Id be having epileptic fits from taking drugs and it was almost as if I was being feisty towards my husband because I wanted to get a good hiding because I thought thats what I deserved.”

Despite her rocky road to love, Kerry – who shares Molly, 16 and Lily-Sue, 14, with ex Brian McFadden, and Heidi, 10 and Maxwell, nine, with Mark Croft – also admitted shes always dreamed of having the perfect family life following a tough childhood.

The telly star revealed she spent the beginning of her life in foster care, while her mum gave her drugs at the age of just 14.

“Ive been on a mission to find the right kind of man,” she said.

“When I was younger I wanted to have a husband and children; the nine-to-five job, put the tea on the table and do their homework.

“I think thats why I got married so many times, to try and recreate my dream of having that security…the whole 1950s thing is what I wanted.”

Have a wicked day sending blessings to you all ?????

Luckily, the former Atomic Kitten star has revealed shes back to her best after totally transforming her lifestyle over the past few months.

“Im stronger than ever now, Ive walked away from it and Ive turned it around”, she confessed.

“Ive been bankrupt twice, married three times, five children by three different dads…but I feel amazing.”

And, with her Instagram littered with bikini snaps of her recent two stone weight loss, its easy to see Kerry is feeling better in herself.
