Sheridan Smith shocked the nation when she revealed shed got engaged to Jamie Horn just three months after meeting him on Tinder.
But Jamies mum has now insisted the 36-year-old Cilla actress and 28-year-old insurance broker are a perfect match.
Sandra Horn has said the pair get on “exceptionally well”.
Speaking to the MailOnline, she added: “Well be thrilled to welcome her to the family and I think theyll make a perfect couple.
“Im just really happy for them. Both my son and Sheridan have wicked sense of humours and get on exceptionally well.”
She continued: “Shes a lovely, warm person and very down to earth. And she looks so much prettier without all her stage make-up on.”
Sandra also revealed Sheridan and Jamie actually met a few years back, but only recently started dating as hed been dating Paris Gothard at the time.
She also claimed Jamies not with Sheridan for the fame – shown by the fact he and his brother Alex, 26, turned down the chance to appear on Love Island.
She said: “They didnt want the fame. Jamie comes from a normal family and doesnt court fame and fortune.”
It was only last week that Sheridan let slip she was dating again as she performed songs from her recent album, Sheridan.
“My boyfriend loves this song. Whoops did I let that slip?” the star teased as she introduced one of the songs.
According to The Sun, the couple are planning their nupitals for as soon as next year.
Its also been reported that Sheridan and Jamie have already moved into a rental property together – and have even bought a dog! Now if thats not commitment, we dont know what is…
The source said, “Jamie is very serious about her. He has introduced Sheridan to his mum already.
“She doesnt wear the ring on her finger, shes got a necklace. She wears it there because she doesnt want people to see that shes got a ring.”
Sheridans last relationship with model Graham Nation was broken off last year, and she previously told Vogue in 2016: “I dont pick them very well.”
