Law firm Rubens Kress & Mulholland ranked fifteen popular holiday destinations in terms of their riskiness.
To get the results, they used criteria such as safety standards and medical provisions.
Other factors such as the effectiveness of court system services and deaths per capita were also taken into consideration.
Each country was given a safety score out of five, with the lowest numbers representing the most danger.
So which countries were said to be the riskiest?
Surprisingly, Thailand was deemed to be one of the most perilous places.
This is likely to be because the nations medical and safety standards scored just 1/5 on the scale.
Overall, the Asian destination was awarded just 2.3/5 points on the scale.
The study explained: “With wild jungles, open sea, and densely populated urban areas, there is no shortage of activities to get the adrenaline pumping.
"Without proper safety protocol and being miles from modern medical facilities means that if youre looking to engage in death-defying activities, best to do so somewhere other than Thailand."
