It was the letter we all dreamed of receiving – an invitation to Prince Harry and Meghan Markles Royal Wedding.
And while we were left wishing, TV star James Corden was one of the lucky ones when he attended the big day last Saturday on May 19.
But as James, 39, took his seat next to his plus one, wife Julia Carey, eagle-eyed fans couldnt help but notice that he looked a little underwhelmed.
As shots of him watching the beautiful ceremony held at the picturesque Windsor Castle were broadcast, viewers flocked to Twitter to ask what was wrong with the Late Late Show host.
And now James has broken his silence on why he REALLY looked so miserable.
Talking on the intro to his hit show after jetting back to America, James explained, “Heres the thing, the worst part of the ceremony for me was there was flowers everywhere, the most beautiful flowers youve ever seen.”
“I get quite bad allergies if Im in close proximity to flowers so for a lot of the ceremony I just needed to sneeze,” he added.
Continuing to demonstrate how he held the sneezes in – much to the entertainment of the live audience – James said, “Right at the point when the Archbishop was saying If anyone knows of any reason that these two should not be married…

“I was thinking please dont sneeze, and I had to do one of those internal sneezes.”
Luckily, the dad-of-three went on to reveal that all was well and that he managed to get away with it. And it sounds like he was much more relaxed at the star-studded wedding reception, as according to reports James was at the centre of a Royal dance-off!

Rumour has it the US TV presenter – who compered the event after meeting Prince Harry seven years ago – encouraged newly married Prince Harry to dance against his brother Prince William and dad Prince Charles, before blushing bride Meghan and her mum Doria Ragland joined in.
Oh to be a fly on THAT wall…
