NEW DELHI: Besides Nifty Auto, Nifty Realty was a sectoral index on NSE that appeared to be immune to the rally in market and was trading in the negative territory in afternoon trade on Thursday.
The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.73 per cent down at 292 around 01:30 pm with 7 stocks declining and 3 advancing in trade.
Shares of Godrej Properties (down 2.26 per cent) was the top loser in the index, followed by HDIL (down 2.03 per cent) and Indiabulls Real Estate (down 1.53 per cent).
Shares of Phoenix Mills (down 1.50 per cent), Oberoi Realty (down 1.24 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 0.79 per cent) and DLF (down 0.38 per cent) were also in the negative zone.
However, Sobha (up 3.75 per cent) and Unitech (up 1.12 per cent) were trading with decent gains.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 79 points at 10,509, while the BSE Sensex was up 315 points at 34,660.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.
Infosys, Bharti Airtel and Tata Consultancy Services were among top Nifty gainers.
However, Tata Motors, ONGC and Grasim Industries were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
