Lisa Riley has paid a sweet tribute to her mother who passed away in 2012 on her Instagram account, just days after becoming engaged to boyfriend Al.
The 41-year-old has likely been on an emotional rollercoaster over the last few days, after she celebrated her engagement. However, it seems the Loose Women star was also missing sharing the exciting news with one person, her mother Cath.
Just two days after announcing her news, she took to social media, to remember her late mum.
Lisa posted a poignant picture of a sunset. She shared the image alongside the message, There is something so beautiful waking up to the calm ocean, and a stunning angel ray…..which I know is from my mum!!! She ALWAYS shon the brightest, thats for sure!!!

The heartfelt tribute was met with a wave of support from Lisas 79,000 followers. One wrote, What a beautiful sentiment a sign from your beautiful mum xxx.

Lisa Rileys mum died six years ago, after battling cancer on and off since 2000. Cath was initially diagnosed with breast cancer, but eventually, it spread to her pelvis and ovaries.
Speaking to the Mirror at the time, she confessed, “It is devastating and still very raw.
“She died in my arms. She was at my house. The entire family was there and we laughed together on the morning that she passed away. That was Mum. It was wonderful. She had dignity. She was fun and smiles to the very, very end.

“I got my personality from her and I hate to describe her with the word bubbly, which is always used about me, but that is exactly what she was. We were inseparable and she has left a big legacy.”
Its clear that Lisa has been thinking lots about her mum since becoming engaged. On Tuesday, she posted on Instagram, confirming the happy news that she was to wed her beau of four years, Al.
She wrote, Yes I can now confirm the rumours are true….I have got engaged…my soul mate and best mate and love of my life Al is the best thing to have ever happened to me….
