Famous names from across the showbiz world have been paying their respects to Dale Winton at his funeral service.

The popular TV star – who passed away in April – was laid to rest a church in London on Tuesday, marking what would have been his 63rd birthday.

Stars including David Walliams, Piers Morgan, Anthea Turner and Gloria Hunniford were amongst those seen arriving at the venue to say their final goodbyes to Dale.

An order of service for the funeral revealed that David – who was a close friend to the late presenter – would be giving a reading, as would singer Martine McCutcheon.

Impressionist Jon Culshaw was listed as giving a tribute too.

Meanwhile Claire Sweeney was set to sing Cilla Blacks song Alfie whilst Blue were to reunite to perform their hit track One Love.

Dale was much-loved across showbiz and other celebrities seen attending the service included Vanessa Feltz, Christopher Biggins and Matt Lucas.

The stars family walked behind his coffin when it arrived at the church and the order of service revealed that his godsons Josh, Ben and Louis Linsey would be paying tribute.

They are the sons of Mark and Sarah Linsey, whose friendship Dale once described as “one of the richest relationships in my life”.

The presenters coffin was seen being put back into the black hearse following the service and a group of fans gathered outside spontaneously broke into applause as the car started to drive away.

Piers Morgan later tweeted about the service: “Wonderful service to celebrate the extraordinary life of Dale Winton. Plenty of fun amid the sadness, just as he would have wanted.

“RIP Dale, you brightened up a lot of lives on & off screen.”

Police confirmed that it was being treated as “unexplained” but not suspicious.
