Are Ant McPartlin and Lisa Armstrong back together?

Lisa Armstrong has never hidden the fact that husband Ant McPartlin still holds a big place in her heart and Woman 
can exclusively reveal that, 
five months after their shock separation, the couple are closer than ever to reuniting.

As well as coping with the breakdown of their marriage, Ant, 42, has also been convicted of drink-driving and spent time in rehab this year, and 41-year-old Lisa has, behind the scenes, been by his side every step of the way. Now, were told, the divorce is very much on hold.

In fact Lisa – Ants wife of 11 years – has continued to wear her wedding ring since the announcement in January and hit back at being labelled Ants estranged wife. Shes even supported his career with regular tweets of congratulations about his and Declan Donnellys Saturday Night Takeaway.

Now were told Lisa is pulling out all the stops to get her marriage back on track for good.

Working on themselves

Following Ants time in rehab – stemming from his addiction to alcohol and prescription drugs – Woman understands that Lisa has been coaching him though 
his new clean lifestyle with weekly phone calls.

Its fair to say Lisa never wanted to split and the announcement was very one-sided on his part. Yet our well-placed source says, After being so publicly humiliated many woman wouldve turned their backs on Ant but Lisa has been a rock to him. They speak 
on the phone all the time and, particularly when hes having 
a weak moment, Ant knows Lisa 
is there to get him through.

Woman understands its his wifes continued support thats made Ant realise he never should have let her go. But Lisas also had to end bad habits in order to keep Ant on the straight and narrow. Shell be the first to admit she loves a glass of wine after work, our insider adds. But Lisa is doing her best to stay away from alcohol so as not to tempt Ant. Shes prepared to never drink again if 
it means saving her marriage.

The woman he fell in love with

Lisa and Ant had been together since 1995 and, like many couples, they got comfortable. But now Lisa wants to reignite the spark. She recently debuted what she called her unicorn hair, and shes not stopping there.

With everything thats been going on, Lisas understandably let herself go a bit, our source says. But after months of uncertainty she finally has something to work towards and has a spring in her step. Shes enjoying gossiping with Ant again and reliving some of their favourite moments from over the years. Its taken the strain off and reminded them how compatible they are. Theyre best friends and always will be.

Leaving it behind

Although it would be impossible to ignore recent events, Lisa and Ant know the only way to move forward 
is to leave them firmly in the past.

Ant recently reunited with co-host Dec and, although its early days, they were talking about his eventual return to our screens.

Now Lisa wants to wipe the slate clean. Were told that, despite the way Ant handled some things, she knows he wasnt in the best place and is prepared to forgive and forget.

Some people might call Lisa mad 
for taking Ant back but she doesnt care, our insider says. All she wants is her life back and now hes in recovery 
it looks like her wish might just come true. We really hope so!
