They may have been divorced for over 20 years, but Sarah Ferguson is still keen to praise her ex-husband Prince Andrew.
Following his appearance as Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards at the annual Trooping the Colour on Saturday, the Duchess of York took to Instagram to pay tribute to him.
Alongside three screengrabs of the 58-year-old royal in action, the Duchess wrote, Very proud of @hrhthedukeofyork Colonel of the Grenadier Guards #troopingthecolour #beatrice @princesseugenie @grenadier.guards
Her post has been liked over 5,800 times and was met with many positive comments from her followers.
Love how supportive you are of him and the royal family. You seem so down to earth, one person wrote, while another added, I love your love and respect for Your Prince!
Others urged Sarah to get back with Prince Andrew and asked when they are going to get remarried.
Of course, Sarahs two daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie were also in attendance at the Queens official birthday celebration on Saturday.
Princess Eugenie, 28, looked lovely in a jade green dress which she teamed with a floral printed white hat.
Her 29-year-old sibling looked just as chic in a blush pink shift dress, which she paired with a red wicker fascinator topped with a spiral design.
Princess Eugenie also praised her father with an Instagram post and shared a picture of him taken inside Buckingham Palace.
A wonderful and proud day celebrating Her Majestys birthday and @hrhthedukeofyork for his first Trooping the Colour as Colonel in Chief of the Grenadier Guards. #troopingthecolour, she captioned the photo.
Sarah and Prince Andrew will be reunited on October 12 when Princess Eugenie marries fiancé Jack Brooksbank at St Georges Chapel in Windsor Castle.
Their engagement was announced in January via the palace. The couple also appeared on The One Show, where they opened up about the proposal in Nicaragua.
Princess Eugenie revealed that it was an “incredible moment” when her partner of seven years asked her to be his wife, and that she “cried” when he proposed.
