FLIGHT SCAM? Some websites advertising package holidays may not reimburse you for cancellations
When booking holidays, most of us love to find a bargain.
For many, package holidays are among the best ways to travel on a budget.
While these all-in-one deals can be cheap and handy, Brits are warned to check the fine print before booking.

Last month, football fans were hit with flight cancellations.
Some Liverpool supporters, who were heading out to the Champions League final in the Ukraine, were unable to get there.
WorldChoice Sports has since offered refunds to customers who were booked onto the three scrapped flights.
But even though the matter is in the process of being resolved, the Association of British Travel Agents still has concerns about the Widnes-based firm.
An investigation is ongoing and holidaymakers have since been warned about the dangers of package deals.
Travel litigation expert Anthony Hey, of Hudgell Solicitors, said that some deals can be too good to be true.
He urges Brits to check the terms and conditions to see if the company offers pay outs for cancellations.
Hey told the Liverpool Echo: “You may believe you have booked a package holiday, but in reality, you may find you have something very different, and possibly could have contracts with a multiple number of suppliers for the duration of your holiday. The issue then is if something goes wrong.
“When you begin to dig into your agreements, you can find the website which you used to arrange your holiday has no responsibility for any cancelled flights, the transport to your accommodation not turning up, or the defective hotel premises which maybe lead to injuries.
“You could also find yourself having to deal directly with foreign companies should you suffer an injury or illness and wish to claim compensation.
"All of a sudden, the savings on booking your holiday would not look such great value.”
Thankfully, there are some ways to validate whether your package holiday is legitimate.
According to 1992 regulations, deals must always provide accommodation and transport.
In cases that you are travelling for a specific event, such as a football game, match tickets can also be thrown in.
The weirdest things that have been found on flights
Worst things airplane passengers have ever bought on plane – photos shame them for everything from wandering feet to stray animals.
The easiest way to see if the deal is a package is to check how customers are being billed.
If you have to fork out for a number of different transactions, youre probably not covered.
Always book your trip through a UK firm, as companies flogging these packages must reimburse you for cancellations.
For an extra level of security, read the fine print to see if the company will cover your costs if something goes wrong.
