NEW DELHI: Auto stocks were trading mixed during afternoon trade on Thursday.
The BSE Auto index was trading 0.10 per cent up at 24,352 around 01:45 pm.
Bosch (up 1.45 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 1.37 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 1.29 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (up 0.99 per cent), Maruti Suzuki India (up 0.97 per cent), Exide Industries (up 0.34 per cent) and Cummins India (up 0.12 per cent) were the gainers in the auto index.
On the other hand, Tata Motors (down 2.25 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (down 2.25 per cent), Bharat Forge (down 1.90 per cent), Ashok Leyland (down 1.61 per cent), TVS Motor Company (down 0.99 per cent), Eicher Motors (down 0.53 per cent), Bajaj Auto (down 0.44 per cent), Apollo Tyres (down 0.24 per cent) and MRF (down 0.21 per cent) were losing in trade.
Market sentiment was subdued amid weak Asian cues. Losses in Infosys, Reliance Industries, Tata Motors and Vedanta were weighing on the Sensex.
Benchmark BSE Sensex was 44 points down at 35,602, while the NSE Nifty50 index was down 10 points at 10,760.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 28 were trading in the green, while 22 were in the red.
In the Sensex index, 16 stocks were advancing, while 15 were declining.
YES Bank and ITC rose up to 3 per cent, leading the pack of Sensex gainers.
