Buzzing stocks: RCom, Dish TV, GMR Infra, HDFC Bank, TCS

NEW DELHI: The counter of Uttam Value Steels, with over 1.76 crore shares changing hands, was buzzing as the most traded stock on NSE during Tuesday's trade.

Reliance Communications (number of shares traded: 1.50 crore) and Dish TV India (1.32 crore) were up next.

GMR Infra (1.08 crore), Jaiprakash Associates (0.97 crore), Ashok Leyland (0.93 crore) and Idea Cellular (0.89 crore) also featured among the most traded stocks on NSE.

On the other hand, Reliance Industries (Rs 357.07 crore) was leading the pack of most active stocks in value terms.
HDFC Bank (Rs 319.50 crore), Shriram Transport Finance Company (Rs 306.37 crore), Hexaware Technologies (Rs 274.36 crore), Tata Consultancy Services (Rs 272.34 crore) and YES Bank (Rs 261.30 crore) also joined the bandwagon of most active stocks in value terms.

The rupee on Tuesday opened 6 paise lower at 68.78 against the US dollar.

Stock markets were up on gains in IT, realty and capital goods, ahead of key quarterly results scheduled later in the day.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 60 points up at 10,913, while the BSE Sensex was up 214 points at 36,148 around 10:40 am.

In the Nifty index, 32 stocks were in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Hindalco Industries, HCL Technologies, UPL, Reliance Industries and Tech Mahindra were among the top gainers in the Nifty index.
