Emma Grimster, spokesperson for TravelSupermarket, comments: “Everybody wants to get that Instagram-worthy shot of their travels that makes friends and family go wow.

“However, the increasing connectedness of the world, both with travel and social media makes it even harder to visit a location no one else has seen before.

“Our research reveals that if you want to be the first to go somewhere before it gets really popular, Asia is the place to go, as tourist numbers are expected to increase up to 100% in some countries (Jakarta, Indonesia) by 2025.

“Denpasar, Indonesia is close behind making this country one to keep an eye on over the next few years.

“Its also no wonder the destinations included are on the up with tourists, as the cost of living is often much lower than in European destinations, tourists are getting much more for their money when they travel further abroad to these up and coming locations.“
