Meghan Markle looked incredible as she visited the Nelson Mandela Centenary Exhibition with Prince Harry today – and proved her dad wrong following his recent claims about her.
The Duchess of Sussex, 36, was all smiles as she stepped out with her husband to officially launch the event held at Londons Southbank Centre, which marks the centenary year of the anti-apartheid activists birth.
During the outing, Meghan and Harry, 33, met Mr Mandelas granddaughter and looked at various items in the exhibit. They spent 45 minutes being shown around the collection of historic artefacts, photographs and film at the Queen Elizabeth Hall.
Both seemed touched when they listened to a performance by the Ubynye Choir too, with Meghan getting goosebumps.
The former actress looked stunning at the event in a baby pink sleeveless dress/coat by Canadian label House of Nonie.
She teamed this with a matching handbags and shoes.
And the fact that she seemed to ooze confidence during the outing quashes her father Thomas Markles claims earlier this week that she is terrified in her new role as a member of the Royal Family.
“My thing about my daughter right now is that I think she is terrified,” Thomas, 73, told The Sun. “I see it in her eyes, I see it in her face and I see it in her smile.
“Ive seen her smile for years. I know her smile. I dont like the one Im seeing now. This one isnt even a stage smile – this is a pained smile.
“That might be just having a couple of bad days. I dont know. It really worries me. I think shes under too much pressure.
“Theres a high price to pay to be married to that family.”
He also claimed that he has been frozen out of Meghans life after he staged paparazzi pictures in the run-up to her wedding and then did a controversial interview with Good Morning Britain last month.
Meghan married Harry at Windsor Castle in May and since then has joined him as well as other members of the Royal Family at several high-profile events.
