Its too hot to be in an office right now.

We should be sunning ourselves on the sand and splashing in the sea, right?

If youre going to head to a beach, though, it might as well be one thats gorgeous enough for the gram rather than the nearest shingle beach littered with rubbish and aggressive seagulls.

Handily, Beach-Inspector has just released their winners of the best beaches in the world awards, based on tests conducted on more than 1,600 beaches on everything from water quality to beach infrastructure.

Alongside their Classic Holiday Award, Party Award, Water Sports Award, and Special Ambience Award, the beach-rating website has unveiled the list of winners of the Wow Beach Awards, given only to the most stunning beaches around the world.

At number one is Manda Bay in Kenya, perfect for snorkeling and even spotting whale sharks.

Beach Inspector explain: "For three years now, the dedicated experts working for the world's first beach information platform have been visiting beaches and their surroundings and assessing them using various evaluation criteria. These range from water quality, beach development, and infrastructure, to the child-friendliness and visitor profile of the beach. More than 120 different data points are used to create the final beach evaluations. This standardised procedure is used to compare approximately 1,600 beaches all over the globe." ???After three years of preparation, we are very proud to, for the first time in our history, present the Beach-Inspector Awards to the world???s best beaches. We are the only global platform to capture beach data and assess them using a detailed, standardised, and data-supported system. Our assessment produces clear results, substantiated by facts. Where other providers stick to the evaluation of likes by users, we carried out an objective evaluation???, adds Kai Michael Sch??fer, CEO and co-founder of the Berlin start-up Beach-Inspector.com, when explaining the selection process. The Beach-Inspector Awards are presented in different categories, ranging from the best beaches for water sports, partying, and families: The CLASSIC HOLIDAY AWARD for the best beach holiday experience, the PARTY AWARD for beach goers in festive spirits, the WATER SPORTS AWARD for the best beaches for surfing, kitesurfing, and windsurfing, and the most-coveted of all: the WOW BEACH AWARD for those beaches that simply take your breath away.
