Most people have a list of things they want to accomplish in their lifetime and for many travel goals feature highly.
But which awe-inspiring experiences top Brits Bucket List?
A study, by myvouchercodes.co.uk, asked 1,000 people from across the UK to select their top 10 ideas to come up with the ultimate travel must-dos.
Seeing the Northern Lights topped the list with 44.4% of the votes, followed by visiting the Grand Canyon with 28.6% and seeing the Pyramids in Egypt (22.3%).

Here are the top 10 Bucket List adventures according to Brits:
1. Admire the Northern Lights (44.4%)
2. Visit the Grand Canyon (28.6%)
3. See the Pyramids in Egypt (22.3%)
4. Go on a Wildlife Safari in Africa (20.3%)
5. Walk a length of the Great Wall of China (20.3%)

GO WILD: African safaris are the ultimate holiday for animal-lovers
According to the research, women would rather take part in animal experience days such as going on a wildlife safari or gorilla trekking in Africa.
In fact, 14% of the women surveyed included volunteering at an elephant sanctuary in their top 10, compared to just 4% of men.
There were also some stark similarities in regional responses. Participants from the North East were keen to stick to their northern roots and travel to colder climates such as Antarctica and Swiss Alps.x

Whie people living in London and the South East voted to travel to more exotic countries such as Bali, Australia and South America.
If seeing the Northern Lights is on your bucket list, a trip to Iceland or Norway should definitely be on the cards.
Travel websites advise visiting between September to mid-April when the nights are darker and longer.
