Meghan Markles dad has allegedly crossed the line with the Royal Family after his latest shock interview.
Thomas Markle has openly spoken out about his daughter several times in the past, but after a recent interview where he referenced the late Princess Diana, the family have reportedly had enough.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday, former Hollywood lighting director Thomas said, “They [the Royal Family] have Meghan treating her father in a way that Harrys mother, Princess Diana, would have loathed. Thats not what Diana stood for.”
And following the comments, The Mirror has now reported the familys advisers have held three top-level crisis meetings to plan how to stop him from “pilling anymore distress on his daughter”.
“This could be the final straw for Thomas. A line has been crossed”, a source told the publication.
The Duchess of Sussex – who hasnt spoken to her dad since she married Prince Harry ten weeks ago – is also said to be “embarrassed” by the incident, as the insider continued: “Meghan is deeply hurt by what is happening and everything is being done behind the scenes to make sure her welfare is at the top of the agenda.
“Its an increasingly desperate situation and now its come down to three options being on the table.
“Firstly, Meghan could contact her father straight away and appeal to him directly to ask him to stop hurting her, but right now shes decided to cut him off.
“There is a possibility an intermediary could meet with him and appeal to him to stop making such hurtful statements.”
The insider added: “The final option would be for Meghan to cut him off completely in the hope he will stop, but the situation is so precarious no one knows when that would be.”
This comes after reports that 33-year-old Harry was angry at Mr Markle when he revealed details about a conversation with his new son-in-law including his views on Donald Trump and Brexit.
