Deborah Meaden has revealed that shes still suffering from a painful health condition caused by doing Strictly Come Dancing five years ago.
The Dragons Den star lasted five weeks in the 2013 show with dance partner Robin Windsor and has been left with constant pain in her feet from the experience.
This has proved so uncomfortable that Deborah, 59, has even been forced to have regular steroid injections to manage the aching.
“I still have permanent pain in the balls of my feet, which is a constant reminder that I did the show,” the TV star told Closer magazine. “It started after I spent ten hours a day waltzing and I put too much pressure on them.
“Everybody is injured in some way (on the show) but now I need to have steroid injections in my feet to keep them supple.
“I should probably have them every six weeks, but I leave it until they hurt too much and then I go to see my specialist, who tells me off for letting it get to that stage.”
Despite this constant pain, Deborah has previously spoken of how much she enjoyed her time on Strictly.
Her season of the show was won by model Abbey Clancy and other stars to take part included Susanna Reid, Rachel Riley and Julien Macdonald.
Deborah hasnt given up hitting the dance floor as a hobby either and continues to dance for two hours a week to keep fit.
Whilst Deborah is keen to stay in shape, the businesswoman wants to age naturally and has insisted that shed never have Botox.
“I look in the mirror and I see lines, but I have earned those lines,” she explained. “It has taken me 59 years to get them and Im not losing them now.”
All of that aside, Deborah continues to appear on Dragons Den and has invested over £3million in nearly 70 projects since she first starred in the series back in 2003.
