Eamonn Holmes joined the Loose Women ladies to help celebrate a very special occasion.
The 58-year-old presenter teamed up with his wife Ruth Langsford on the show, to discuss This Morning, which celebrates 30 years on air this week.
And during the episode, the pair had a chance to reflect on their history of the ITV show, looking back over old clips of the programme.
But there was one in particular that proved particularly emotional for Eamonn – when producers showed Ruth with their then-newborn son, Jack, live on the show.
After seeing the clip, Eamonn became unexpectedly emotional, paying an adorable tribute to his wife of 18 years.
He confessed, “I swear this happens to me every time, shes got Jack there as a baby, I look and I go, Who is that gorgeous woman?
“I fall in love with her every time I see her and I realise why I fell for her and why Im absolutely in her power, in her grip all the time.” Aww – so sweet!
Ruth was clearly touched by her husbands sentiments, becoming misty-eyed while one of her fellow Loose Women panellists exclaimed, “Oh look, shes filling up!”.
During the show, Ruth and Eamonn also revealed that it was the This Morning bosses who had the idea to put them together on the show – although Ruth wasnt so keen on the idea at first.
Eamonn said, “They had the idea of putting us together. I said, Great, super! I was unemployed at the time, sort of helped me quite a lot.
“I said, They want us to present together. And she said, Thats not happening.”
The couple also addressed their charming on-screen bickering, which often has fans in fits of laughter. Eamonn went on to joke about the rather brutal way Ruth keeps her husband in line when live on air.
He admitted, “Her secret is she stands behind that cookery bench thing and she lifts her heel and she scrapes it down the front of my shin and then puts the stiletto right into my foot.”
Ruth continued, “If hes been annoying me, I think, You wait, weve got cookery soon.” Ouch!
Later on in the day, Ruth and Eamonn joined Phillip Schofield, Holly Willoughby, and veteran This Morning presenters Judy Finnegan and Richard Madeley, to pick up a BAFTA for the show at a glitzy awards evening.
