The awkward moment was recalled on popular Instagram page, Passenger Shaming.
Footage of the incident showed a bare-footed passenger giving themselves a pedicure on the plane.
They seemed to be getting stuck into the ritual, rigorously scrubbing at their feet in the eye line of others.
In less than 24 hours, the clip has been viewed more than 132,000 times.

Hundreds of travel fans have replied to the post, with many blasting the passenger for their behaviour.
One commenter wrote: “I just threw up in my mouth!
“All those disgusting particles fly up into the air system and peoples mouths, noses and eyes.”
