NEW DELHI: Benchmark indices erased gains, after kicking off Monday's session on a firm note, tracking tepid cues from other Asian markets, as crude oil prices spiked amid US-Saudi war of words.

Rupee's fall, an uptick in global crude oil prices and caution ahead of September earnings weighed on market sentiment.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 22 points down at 10,450, while the BSE Sensex was down 51 points at 34,682 around 10:10 am.

Let's take a look at 10 stocks that lost most on BSE in early trade:

  • Vertex Securities plunged 12.63 per cent.
  • Shirpur Gold Refinery cracked 12 per cent in the early trade.
  • ANG Lifesciences India suffered a loss of 11.88 per cent.
  • Ajanta Soya declined 11.50 per cent.
  • Loyal Textiles cracked 9.77 per cent.
  • PCS Technology suffered a loss of 9.68 per cent.
  • Shares of Faze Three declined 9.43 per cent.
  • TCFC Finance tanked 9.03 per cent.
  • Swastika Investmart declined 8.99 per cent.
  • Rishi Techtex declined 8.01 per cent.

In the Nifty pack, 21 stocks were in the green, while 29 stocks were in the red.

In the Sensex pack, 14 stocks were advancing and 16 were declining.

Hindustan Unilever, Mahindra & Mahindra, ICICI Bank, Axis Bank and Maruti Industries were among the top losers in the Sensex index.
