The whole world dropped everything on Monday morning, as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, announced theyre expecting their first child.
Whilst the entire nation celebrated the surprise news, one lady might have been a little more expecting of the announcement – as X Factor judge Ayda Field claims to have guessed Meghans pregnancy at Princess Eugenies wedding.
Ayda, who attended the royal nuptials of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbanks wedding last Friday alongside her husband Robbie Williams, confessed her suspicions after noticing Meghan kept her coat on indoors.
Speaking to The Mirror, Ayda shared that she enjoyed the day thoroughly: “It was a very special celebration. Im still pinching myself that it happened.”
The mother-of-three then added: “I had my suspicions [about the baby]. I had my suspicions but not that I had any confirmation of that.”
Expanding on her hunch of forthcoming baby news, 39-year-old Ayda shared that Meghans choice of wedding wear sparked her suspicions as the Duchess opted to leave her overcoat on throughout the ceremony.
“But that coat, as a lady when youve had babies. A button-up coat and you wear it indoors”, she added, implying it roused her speculation.
Ayda and Robbie certainly enjoyed the celebrations, as her husband later performed a range of his hit singles at the reception – including his classic wedding song Angels.
“He did a little impromptu performance,” shared Ayda. “It was incredible. It was really good. It was amazing that he went from eating his dinner to jumping up on stage.”
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex thrilled the nation with their official announcement on Monday morning.
Palace officials shared a statement onto social media addressing the wonderful addition to the royal family.
It read: “Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Sussex is expecting a baby in the Spring of 2019.”
