NEW DELHI: The Nifty Auto index was trading 1.8 per cent down at 8,675.8 around 11:07 am on Friday with all of its components trading in red.
Shares of Exide Industries (down 3.65 per cent), Tata Motors (DVR) (down 3.54 per cent), TVS Motor Company (down 3.40 per cent), Hero MotoCorp (down 2.90 per cent), Tata Motors (down 2.86 per cent), Motherson Sumi Systems (down 2.78 per
cent),were among the worst performers in the index.
Eicher Motors (down 2.08 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (down 1.99 per cent), Apollo Tyres (down 1.53 per cent) and MRF (down 1.47 per cent), too appeared among top losers.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 150.70 points at 10,302.35 while BSE Sensex was down 425.46 points at 34,354.12 at that time. Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 10 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, L&T Fin Holding, SBI, RIL, DLF, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, Idea Cellular, Axis Bank, HPCL, Tata Motors, Vedanta, Infosys and BPCL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
